Nice shot of the bird. However, it's seems like a stretch on the theme since there isn't really anything ironic about the picture itself.
If this were in the flight contest I probably would've given it a 4 or 5. The crop seems a big tight to me. Also the line in the background cuts right through the bird. Depending on what the original looks like, I wouldn't have cropped so tight, would've placed the bird in one of the right corners (to give it room to 'fly') to follow the Rule of Thirds a little better.
So since you're not a member you'd rather get a million "doesn't fit the challenge" posts just so that your pic can be seen??? There's not a bit of irony in the fact that you're not a member and missed the flight challenge. Pathetic.
Please just put it in the forums next time.
Note to self : Join DPChallenge - I haven't yet, I will wait and see if I enjoy it enough here, then I will decide if I want to join. That IS a wicked shot
