Why does she have no skin texture (except right around her eyelids)? Very heavy makeup?
She has a VERY smooth skin in "reality". We didn't use heavy makeup here: just a hint for the skin and a bit mascara and eyeliner. Finally I used NeatImage for PP that smoothed her skin even more out.
Ok, what am I supposed to say to a ribbon winner? I know, congratulations! Looking at your other challenge entries, you have great technical skills and a wonderful, creative mind. This image connected with the voters and won a ribbon. Once you get into the upper 6's for a score, the final outcome is related more to how the voters like your image more than how good the technical are. Congratulations again.

The results are so close! If there were only 2x"1" and 2x"2" like the second place had, this would have got 6,8723 and would therefore have taken the 2nd place.

To me this is the best of the portraits in the challenge. The bright, blue eyes and the purple scarf are just perfect together - and I'm reaaly pleased that you didn't turn the rest of the picture into B&W which many probably would have done.
This is a lovely portrait, and the eyes in particular are beautiful. One mild commen - it is possible (I think) to see the camera in the reflection. Not much of a flaw in an otherwise flawless photo.
obviously a very strong image. i'm a big fan of funky processing but the smoothing between the eyes is a bit distracting for me. Perhaps that's what makes everything else stand out so much.
Very beautiful...the contrast betweel light colors and dark are stunning. She have very beautiful eys i must say. Creative, orighinal...one of top photos IMO!
So, she means that literally? The skin and hair tones are very good. Perhaps just a nudge too much neat image?? I'll be waiting to hear what brand of mascara she uses ;-)
