I didn't enter silhouettes and my single tree was awful, so I thought I would combine them all, lol. Its amazing how many great trees I see now that the challlenge is over.
predicted comments: over-processed, too much neat image, grass looks weird on the right, would have been great in single tree challenge, too much pink, whats up with that weird halo near the trunk of the tree and a validation request. (halo is in the original after raw conversion). All valid critiques IMO.
PP:
Predicted score:5.4-6.1, I can't tell how things will do anymore and my average has gone down for over month.
PP: convert from raw, USM, curves, photo filter, levels, selective color, channel mixer, shadows/highlight layer. Resized and ran through NI and USM. Shadows/highlight again. Then I did like six versions with slight tweaks and I thnk thats all the editing I did, lol.
Post challenge: Thanks everybody for your comments and the 5th place finish. Your all great and I apreciate it.
I also shot my final Self Portrait at the same time and Here it is. I reccomend everyone doing this you were learn so much.

Not bad, not great, not very engaging. I wonder how this would look cropped down so the tree is more prominent and the purple tones dominate the sky rather than look like they are being crushed by that incoming wave of blue. Good luck!
edit: on uncalibrated piece of junk work monitor running 16 bit color, the sky is more purple than blue. Damn color management!
