Nice early fall warm evening downpour.
My wife walking around with an umbrella.
Many adjustment layers but subtle changes.
I went from 200mm to 18mm during the exposure.
Taking a risk here with it being abstract, I know.

I really like this shot because it bursts with energy and movement. You get the sense of someone walking against or toward the elements (rain and whatever the brightness is).
I like the colors too (whether intentional or not). To me, the flare works in conjunction with the shadows and forms in the pic.
:)
I like how the traces look like some type of fabric. I wonder if the hot spots are going to cost the picture some points during voting. It is a nice departure from the other pictures.
Funny. I was going to comment that there are certainly going to be unbelievers on the validity of this image, and there it is - the validation stamp. ;^) I finally have a lens that I can zoom while capturing an exposure and had a chance to play with it the other day. I recognized this in your image immediately.
I really like the choice you made to do this. Yes the yellow is quite bright, but it helps balance out the darker tones around the sides. The streaks at the bottom around the persons legs are wonderful. Did I mention that I like this? :D
Good luck in the challenge. It will be interesting to see where you end up.
That's a good generic title. I like it better than "...". The picture is nice. It's the first one I'm voting on and that always makes it hard for me, but I like the zoom blur and I think the photo works as an abstract. 7 for now.
Brilliant shot! This takes the cake for me! I do love all the wonderful green leaves with water dropletts images, but this is unique, fun, fresh! I love it!! Excellent idea and phenomonally captured!! 8o)
is that a zoom blur? beautiful!! A rush of light in darkness substitutes for the rush of rain. Obscuration filters the visible world down to a lone figure who represents nothing so well as rain. 10
