I wanted to shoot some planes for this challenge but wasn't successful. This is a feather I pick up while walking along the beach. I think it's a kingfisher's feather. Hopes this qualified for the Challenge as this feather certainly had seen it's last flight.

Beautiful focus. Great details on the strands of the feathers. Great blue hue in the feather. Background helps to bring out the feather and make it pop out of the picture.
Technically good. Sharp. On theme also. Compared to the other entries, it shows a lack of action and/or lack of excitement. If this was not in such a well captured challenge, I would have given it a higher score. 6
This photo is quite good actually, although the challenge does state that the object must be in flight, so I guess you'll be hit a lot lower because it doesn't fully meet the challenge. Still worth a 6 from me though.
Very well taken photo. IMO, the challenge really was aimed at an action shot, this isn't. I'm not going to "punish" you greatly, just a little ;).....6 Rob the Swash
