 After giving up on a few staged shots I threw my props back into the pile of waste, took a look at the pile of colored seed corn, stalks and grain and decided this was it. Hope you agree.

RAW conversion in RSP set at camera white balance and auto exposure, tweaked highlight balance down to -50, set curves to midpoint and cropped.

MS-DIP to tighten crop a little and sharpen a touch.

PSE4 to resize and save for web.

Pretty much as I took it.

Critique Club Review:

Focus and depth of field are quite good.

Color seems a bit cool, as if white balance were off a bit. Lighting is a little harsh, the reflections look like it was lit by camera flash alone. This also makes the picture look a little flat.

The subject appears to be no subject. The eye doesn't really know where to look.

With a little warmer color, and a less harsh light, this could make a nice postcard.

Excellent color range. I would like to see this same sort of picture with a more specific focal point. It's almost like there is a it too much to look at.
