A lot of dodging and burning of the clothing.
Burned background quite a bit
Gaussian Blur on the background
Blend the blurred later in.
Changed to Black & White
Changed Levels and Brightness/Contrast quite a bit
Added feathered white fill stroke around the edges

Nice shot. One of those cherishable moments. B/W nice touch. I think I would have prefered it without the white fading in the corners (can't think of the technical term for that, sorry).
