Took this while standing at the bus stop on my way to work. Curves and Channel Mixer used to make it gray and contrasty, so my backlit grayish bird would stand out from the street. Added some noise to make it look grainier.

The bird seems too soft and noisy, and the B&W makes it blend into the background too much. A great 'pose' but the bird really needed to be sharper to pop out at the viewer.
May I assume the high degree of grain was purposeful? Focus seems indeterminate (can't find the focused area). Framing is good (positioning the subject in the frame). I'd like to see more detail with the subject. 5 Rob the Swash
Did you add the noise? It looks good for this image. It also looks like this is maybe a crop from a much larger picture. Not enough detail to really rate this.
This is an okay shot, and for sure on topic for flight. I also don't mind the grain. I do mind the shadow/stick or pole. I'm sure you had no other choice so I understand. Maybe a tighter crop?
