Yes, the winner will like be a beautiful tree by the ocean sunset or a white infrared. Alas, I had very few places where I could find a single tree to stand out. And they were not the most exciting.
But I tried to capture a nice specimen...

Pretty little blue spruce....but it needs it's own space. The tree on the right is intrusive. The background somewhat distracting. Recomposing this shot would help show off your subject a bit better. Like the title, though.
Like: colors on the subject tree against the grass. It does stand out.
Don't like: branches above left and right and big part of tree on the right side. It's not in sharp focus and for this scene to work of this tree, it has to be sharper. 4
