 Every child should have the simple pleasure of a teddy bear! Since I don't have much extra spending cash to acquire the extras for portrait photography, I pinned up a white curtain onto a white wall and seated the girl on a kitchen stool. Placed her next to an open window for light.

Back to comment: You choose a very lovely subject for this challenge; however, your image suffers from a couple of technical issues. First, the focus needs to be sharp on the girl's eyes. In your image the legs of the bear are in sharper focus than the girls eyes. Second, the backdrop should be free of folds and wrinkles or so wrinkled that it looks intentional.

seems like you've missed the focus just a wee bit. a bear is sharper than the girl's face.
