I used one 580EX flash infront of him and a 550EX on the camera to trigger the other one.
Postprocess: minor crop, levels, colorbalance, curves and unsharpmask.

Wow! Great photo! Focus, and depth of field are spot on. The exposure, color, saturation and hue, all work very well together. I was wondering about teh need for the flash, but see taht without it, the neck of the guitar would have been lost into the arm. Good move.... The highlites along the right leg, and left hand distract just a tiny bit. Not badly, just a little. I might have liked the picture just a bit better had the hat been black also.
The clouds are amazing. Makes you wonder if he is glad not to be on the boat. Great texture to the whole piece. I particularly liked the angle of the shot. Too many cameras never leave the eye level of the photographer. The angle really helped make this picture. Definetly a picture I could hang on my wall, and never tire of.
Like the photos that tell a story with the silhouette. The sky and the bluish-grey tones make the black figure stand out. The hat and guitar added extra points of interest and extra points to your score! A winner!
This is simply stunning!!!
I love the colours.
I love the idea.
I love the composition.
In fact, everything about this shot just says "WOW" to me.
Hope you blue ribon it...
I love the concept of this image, the composition is nice, but can't help but feel the the image suffers (a little) because the bottom of the boat has been cut off.
As for the lighting and mood it really is top class, the sky is great and the pose of the silhouette is great too and for me, gives the impression of someone who's had a great time on board and perhaps had one drink too many.
Very nice, lots of tricky lighting in this shot and you've done really well at getting it all right. Good composition, my only wish is that you could see more of the bottom part of the boat.
