Here is the Field of Dreams Ghost Players. As well as traveling around the country and making appearances, they still do shows at the actual movie site in Dyersville, Iowa on the last Sunday of every month thru September. I live 20 min. from the farm that Universal used in the movie. I was unaware that these guys would be there. I drove over on Saturday to get some shots of the field for the challenge and there was a sign posted stating the Ghost Players presence on Sunday. I took some shots and went home knowing full well what shot I wanted. I returned Sunday to capture them coming out the cornfield as they did in the movie.

I've lived down the road a bit from this place for 12 years and had never been there until that Saturday. This was my first time. I was suprised to find out them guys would be there on that Sunday.

Congrats on your ribbon!!!! My grandparents used to live in Iowa, and it was the biggest thing when this movie came out....thanks for bringing back those good memories :-)

WOW! How does one get such an image ? :) Remarkable subject ... The composition really needs adjustment IMO though - up or down in the frame - probably down.
Hmmm...not much of a movie or TV person, but, I have seen this film. It almost looks like it was taken straight from the real movie. Not too keen on the photo but it's very good. 9
Do they get much closer to recreating the scene than this? I'm guessing you went to the actual cornfield in Iowa. Either that or you tracked down seven 1919 White Sox uniforms and seven guys to wear them.
The focus seems a little soft, but he more I look at it, I think it actually works.
This is great. When I woke up this morning my husband (Timfythetoo) said I had to look at this pic. At first we wondered "how did he/she find all those players with old Sox uniforms?" Then I remembered hearing about a movie reunion and we checked the web and discovered the activities that go on at the real "Field of Dreams". Awesome! Way to capture an opportunity! Beautifully done and I even like the border.************** Hopefully I'm not making an incorrect assumption regarding your set up. Either way - I'm back to bump. 9 Well done.
One of the best movies ever made...and a great photo. I love the repetition and balance. It looks as though they are ready to play. The green grass in the foreground completes the picture. It makes me want to go watch some really good baseball.

Looks like the guy on the far right is intentionally hiding his face (laughing too hard maybe?), and could even be flipping the photog the bird. He-he.
Field of dreams was an idea that I like. In the last mounths I have thinked a shot on this film but in italy (southern Italy) is impossible find players or baseball fields. This is one of my favourite movie. The shot is good peraphs I prefer the scene when he listen the father that tell :"build a field" (this was the title that I choose

fantastic movie and a nice shot...not sure where you took this, but there are some distractions in the guys movements...it looks like they are performing somewhere in a show???
Alot of good pics in this challenge and then I come across this one. This is it. This is the blue all the way and I still have 30 pics to look at. If this doesnt ribbon I will be stunned. Beautiful shot! I will be back to look at this again. Giving a 9 for now but dont be surprised if I come back and finsih you off tomorrow to ten. Yeah baby - this shot rocks!
