Egg placed in a small container with cotton balls. The eggs are made like that in the shop with the smiliey face on them, which I thought was quite unique. I used natural light with a little contrast in PS.

More contrast or levels tweaking should bring out the shadow and reflections. This would help the egg pop out of the picture even more then it is already. It would probably make the cotton balls even more fluffy.
Kinda cute, but the lighting leaves much to be desired, the center weighted composition doesn't create any tension or interest in the photo, and I would like the background better if I couldn't tell exactly what it was.
I would have drawn the face to take advantage of the oval form. It takes a lot more skill than I have to take a cute idea and make it into a stunning photo.
