I missed the voting on this challenge, but you would have earned my 10. Great shot, what more can I say that hasn't already been said. Kudos.

congratulations on your ribbon! very well deserved ribbon here. great job ;)
Post actions
Congratulations on your first ribbon. Excellent shot!

its all about the angle of the hoop here. sillhouette, yeah yeah. sunset, yeah yeah. but that hoop and the curve in conjunction with everything else is just tops. It feels like the hoop is life-like bending down and over towards its pursuers.

Wow, this is phenomenal. I really like it! I think this is the first picture I've ever seen that has more 10s than 9s too; that's saying something :-)

Congratulations on your first ribbon! The colors and the silhouettes and dead-on perfect for this shot. Well done! :)

Though I have seen this same/similar shot done before, I applaud you on this shot, especially with the sun dipping below the horizon. The focal point of the two playing ball gives a happy feeling looking at this. Well done.

Love this. I could see this in a magazine. Excellent shot
Post actions
Nice capture. The silhouttes and sunset work amazingly together.

This is an incredible silhouette and I really like the gradient effect in the sky as the sun goes down. The detail and action of the two players is great as is the unusual shape of the basketball net (at least I've never seen one like that). Bumping up!
Post actions
Spectacular shot. Not a voting point, but it seems an odd position for the players, though. Shouldn't the right-hand guy be trying to block the shot instead of facing the basket?
Post actions
wow, what a cool image. Outtake from the silhouette challenge perhaps? hehe

Love the arc of the stand, what a great comp/frame.

Excellent composition. Love the sweep of the basketball stand and then the added benefit of the sun going down right under the guys. Brilliant

Strong color tones and an excellently silhouetted composition. Great photograph!

Great silhouettes, perfect sun.

VERY nice. The color just blows my socks off
Post actions
wow another 10! i dont rate many this high.....am i looking at a winner...?
Post actions
Amazing image, very powerful. Great DOF and exposure. Seeing that the sun is so large, you must have been using a decently sized lens...great job on keeping the image sharp. One of my top rated images.

Fantastic timing! I love everything about the sillohuettes including the outstretched fingers. I like that the setting sun is right at their feet. very cool shot!

Definitely not your average sunset shot! Very nicely done -- great action and colors!
Post actions
Cool. I like the arc on the pole.
Post actions
Excellent silhouette shot enhanced but gorgeous colour gradients. Bumping up. Coming back to this and bumping up again. In fact, my first 10 and I've already voted 100%. Good luck!

great design and silhouette moment to capture. the colours are great

That is a lovely silhouette. I imagine it came in a little too late to enter in the silhouettes challenge.
Post actions
Personally, I would have liked the photo better without the players and maybe a different object besides a basket ball stand. The colors are really, really nice. I'm you're photo will score well with others. Not that I don't like it, it's a great capture and perfect timing.
Post actions
Excellent composition and color. Slightly over-saturated I think, but still good.

This is a very inspiring and well done photo. Well done (9)

Excellent! Beautiful. Try it without the goal. There's always an image within an image. This one will ribbon.

I've seen this setup before a (couple of) year(s) ago. Great capture with that wonderful background gradation and freeze of the jump.
Post actions
definately a 10 ... just beautifull, and puts a distance between it and the rest... i hope uou get a ribbon for this
Post actions
there are alot of shots in the free study that own everything i saw in the silhouettes challenge, and this is one of them. 9

Oh, this is awesome! I LOVE it!
Post actions
nice capture, the colors are great.
Post actions
This is very dramatic. It looks like it should be a billboard or a movie poster. Well done.
Post actions
Havent voted in Silhouettes but this would have done great there i'm sure. Should do very good here as well.
Post actions
Well done! I'm not sure about the little red border around the bodies, but that might just be my eyes... Would have been good for the Silhouette challenge!
Post actions
very nice composition 10 for me.
Post actions
Beautiful and stunning capture! Love how it all comes down to the shapes of the silhouettes that compliment all the elements and the lovely warm tones of golds, reds, and oranges. Love the action of the two men shooting hoops. I see so many curves in this composition the curve of the basketball hoop, the curve of the ball, and even the curve of the setting sun. The composition is wonderfully composed with the action of the two men jumping to get the ball and the sun (another sphere) resting right between them. Simple, beautifull and elegent in it's presentation I think this will easily be in the top 20 if not the top 5. Good work.
Post actions
Wonderful colors. Great silhoutte!
Post actions
I like this a lot! Seems to be needlessly oversharpened though...
Post actions
has to be a contender for a top 10 and even ribbon winner...superb...cannot fault it...this is my first 10 so far in the challenge
