In virtually every city there are armies of cube dwellers that make up much of the muscle of the corporate world. For every production line producing a cell-phone, CD player, or any other such product, there is a corresponding office somewhere full of people quietly sitting behind their computers and stacks of books and paperwork cranking out some part of the next product that will hopefully propel their company to the next corporate milestone.
I know the photo looks rather artificial, but processing was really quite minimal. The coloring was achieved by converting the photo to tri-tone sephia. I then adjusted the tone curve in the shadows to get the metallic look.

I love the post-processing, especially the ways the man looks metallic. The glasses seem to be the only reminder that he is a person instead of just another part of the corporate machine.
Love it - I can say no more (10).. I don't really know why I like it - it just jumped out and slapped me in the face... Just a great picture... Good luck...
This is a very creative view! I do wonder how it was done, but I have to believe it was "legal", so I will vote accordingly. The person is wonderfully wierd, I don't know how you "got there", but I like it. The back wall seems to have been "hurt" by the image manipulation, smae with part of the desk. Somehow, the paper and the monitor screen came through well. 8 Swash
Image not very sharp (file box). Looking at the person's effect, I think you played with the levels and curves a lot but you must have used a mask to restrict the effect to only a small portion of the image. Hope I'm not mistaken.
I really like this for the challenge...photogragh clearly communicates it's message with viewer!! I like how the guy looks almost like chrome. How'd you do that? 10 Lisa
This is one of the most effective uses of post pricessing that I have seen on DPC so far... it does a nice job of adding to the mood and moving the mood towards the interpretation of the challenge rather than just being something 'cool'... good shot :) - jmsetzler
This is a really cool shot, but I'm more than interested in how you pulled off the effect. Something with the color depth maybe? I do like the message of this shot.
