Wanted to get this into the sports challenge - itwas taken within deadlines - but couldn't get to the computer. Life, however, encompasses enough stuff for this to count, I'm sure. Love the apparent unconcern of these spectators - especially the dog - as the paraglider passes by.

I really love this shot, it's definitely a unique shot. I like the way several subtle elements to do with various interpretations of life are integrated into one shot here. There seems to be a wistfullness about the person seated at the left looking at the paraglider which seems to echo the feeling you get when you think life is passing you by and you don't have the motivation to go for it. The dog is a nice addition, and includes elements of life that are more instinct and earthy. The companionship between these people has been captured well. The space in between them is nicely captured, and adds to the composition. You've also got earth and water, basic elements vital for life. The colours and saturation are superb. The composition is brilliant, everything has just the right balance and weight. 10
what a great shot. It doesn't look set up - which is why I like it so much i guess. The dog is perfect scratching away, and it looks like all 3 people are looking in different directions ( right, center, left)
