Tough competition this week but this one is still my favorite of the week. I knew this one was yours. You have taken some fantastic sports shots. Good luck with future challenges.
Despite the blurring (possibly because of low light) this shot captures what is necessary - the competitive spirit of hockey. The key elements are sharp and crisp with good expressions of determination on the faces, good composition and interesting DOF. This deserves to do well.
Good capture, with the ball being just off the ground, good work on the DOF, I took some similar shots that just did nt work. Your shot is clear and showing movement, not easy, well done.
Finally someone included field hockey! So often we are forgotten about, yet its one of the greatest girls sports! Great sharpness, it's hard when they're going so fast. Really nice colors too.
GREAT shot. very good. composed very well. nice eye and timing. the dof is good too. the facial expressions are cool - the lead girl has determination to score on her face, the defender behind has a gritty determination look to steal the ball away - and the out of focus girl trailing behind the play has a *huh....oh no* look on her face. nice work.
i love the action you have in this shot, captured beuatifully and lit really well i would have thought about cropping it but i think you have it just right, i would be surprised if your not in the top 10 with this one well done 9
Lots of field hockey photos this week but this is the best hands down and I've got to say best Sports shot of the week as well. Great composition, color, focus and action. Good luck, I predict top 3 finish here.
