A pair of surf skis negotiate the tricky final turn of Supershoot rapid on day 2 of the Avon Descent 2006. I've cropped, brightened, sharpened and resized the image

too small, too dark. my guess is that is one of your first entries, so please, don't be discouraged if it doesn't do as well as you would like. you might want to read through this thread, as well as check out the tutorial for preparing your submissions.
A very action packed image!! I wish the image were a bit larger in size so that I could see more of the detail. Also, the photo looks a little dark to me.
Nice stopping of the motion here. A few things that could bring this image up a little higher in the final results are sizing, noise, exposure, and sharpening. The image is too small. Use the full 640 on the long side. Perhaps you shot this at a high ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed? It seems grainy/noisy...noise reduction tool could help with this. The image is also underexposed. The faces are dark and the white of the front persons paddle should be white. Sorry for the long winded comment, but several things jumped out at me when I first saw this image. Of course, all of it is JMO. ;^) Good luck in the challenge.
too dark, i'm afraid. a quick dabble with the brightness and contrast, or levels (or curves if you've got them) would really bring out the colours and make this stand out in a more immediate wow! kind of way. it also looks a bit small; it's always best to get as big as you can for greater impact. 4.
Good stop motion, but you need to use the full 640 pixels on the longest side to let us really see the picture. There's a tutorial in the "Learn" section to help you do this. A bit flat in contrast - a touch of levels would bring out the details, pop the colors.
Nice eye for the action, but the composition looks a bit too cramped with such a tight crop. It also appears to be underexposed and in need of some adjustment with either curves or levels to make the whites more white and less of a dirty grey.
