It fits the challenge. The idea is good but the composition isn't the best. The blue object on the shore is distracting. maybe a closer crop would have helped.
Shame the bird isn't above the horizon (which looks like it needs straightening). Then I'd have been tempted to turn it into b&w (which would camouflage the blue thing at the bottom left of the frame) and increase the contrast. 4
Wish we could see more details of the seagulls. The composition is nice because of the flying one. It gives the shot something to focus on. Getting the ground on the shot gives it some colors. Since the water, sky, and seagulls are all the same colors.
