I really like the pieces of pottery and the color and lighting is good but the cropping leaves me wanting to see the top of the photo.

Good idea, good lighting and color. Don't like that the one piece is sticking out of the top of the picture - perhaps had you arranged them a bit more in a diagonal flow from top left to bottom right.
