Heavy crop, levels, Curves, NI...it seemed to have a hard time finding a uniform area to sample, and subsequently gave a rather heavy handed result that I liked. Used with sharpening a slightly out of focus image.

I've voted 19% of the images so far, and this is the first photo I've come to that I actually like! I think the hodge-podge way you've photographed these zebras is just perfect for this challenge.
