The lake was calm, sun was setting when the sky decided to give us a show. You could not believe how calm this place gets. Once in a while, we get tohaer the loon calling it's mate with the echo bouncing off the mountains. If this is not zen, I do not know what is.
Steps in PP:
Crop and straighten
Boost saturation a bit
Adjust contrast
flatten, resize, USM, no NI on this one.
I have a batch of outtakes I'll post when voting is over.
Exif states I had a +0.3 step Exposure Compensation. Don't remember setting it.

I don't know an awful lot about post processing but feel this has been made to look slightly unnatural (maybe its my monitor?).I would have cropped the stones out of the foreground, or tried to include more of them. The sky looks to have quite nice colour in it.

There are some ripples but not so much that I lose the feeling of utter calm. That said I think cropping off the bottom where the rocks or whatever those two whitish-grey things are would help the composition a bit. This would help make the balance between above the horizon and below a bit more even in my mind. I gave a 6
