this actually looking much more striking as a thumbnail; it's let down a little bit by the soft focus on the head of the flower (unsharp mask would have overcome this a little). the choice of background colour is superb; very unconventional i think but very effective - it's a nicely composed set up. sadly, it doesn't fit into my interpretation of the challenge (i think it's all supposed to appear to look B&W). but it's still very lovely, and certainly has that wowness i like - so an 8 |
