Here is a rather large Barn spider clinging to and repairing it's damaged orb web.
Shot at night with a 580EX Speedlite flash and my 24-70mm lense macro on my 5D.
Shot in Raw and edited in Rawshoot Essentials:
-Slight Decrease in exposure
-Small amount of fill light
-Saturation big bump
-Shadow contrast bump
-Highlight contrast slight bump

hmm, it's hard to see what the background really is..
And if you hadn't told me that was a spider, It would've taken me a few minutes to realize that's what it was.
Maybe it's just me and I'm slow?
Other than that, I actually do like the 'black/dark' background :)
