 taken at Martins fork lake in harlan kentucky. these are exactly the way my sister took her sandals off to walk in the water.

First Impression: nice image
Composition: very well balanced (although it was the way your sister left them)
Subject: good for the challenge
Technical: good composition, good focus, nice use of duetone
Improvement: perhaps the sandals could be better on the right up of the photo (the shoes could indicate so the way to the beach)

Now this is simple and effective, if only a little soft on focus. Compositionally sound. Worth trying a lower viewpoint also.
