Thanks for your comment on my on the beach entry and I thought I would return the comment.
Tsweet moment you have captured here. I think the color is good and lighting as well. One thing that stands out right away is the tilted horizon, I think this line should really be horizontal and detratcs from the photo abit. Another thing would have been to shoot from a much lower angle so that the photo felt like it was more from the child's perspective. Black and white may have been a nice touch but I am not sure I would have done. And one other thing that may have helped your score would to be to have the photo larger, at the 640 px limit.
