Yep, it's ketchup and mustard. In ps-crop, cloned out some hot pixels, levels, curves, hue/sat, screen layer and overlay layer with opacity dropped, usm, resized, border, sfw.

The idea is solid. If you could have controlled the lighting more - to isolate the highlights, or make some sort of shape out of them, or perhaps use a more diffuse light to soften the contrasts - I think this would be a lot stronger.
