I really like this. I almost added it to my favorites, but it's not QUITE there. It's a hair dark for me. The colors are terrific though. I would never have guessed algae. It looks like a garbage bad spread out an lit with colored lights. Still I like it a lot. Wasn't a member during this challenge, but I'd have given it an 8 I think. just-married
It doesn't really look like algae and I dont see any texture, but I like how looks. It's a tad out of focus on the bottom, but I don't mind it too much. I give it 7 Nswenson
This is an interesting material to be photographing for the Texture challenge, and I do not know what it is. On second look though I am bumping it up a notch.
I really love the colors you got, and I'm curious about how you did this photo. I'm guessing that's a sheet of black plastic with colored light bounced onto it? I can't wait to read the info for this shot. Very interesting.
i like the colors (green being my fav, and blue a close 2nd) and the idea is good, too. the left side of the shot seems a little OOF, did you have your camera set to a shallow DOF (if you can control the setting that is)? and maybe not quite level so that the left side was further away? that is a little distracting to me, also, the left side seems a little darker, maybe add some more even lighting if that's possible. -- gr8photos (4)
