In truth, these appear to be folded and sealed pieces of stationery. hooray! Color, lighting and composition add to the antiquated feel of the elements in the photo. Nicely done.

Perhaps an extreme macro shot of the pen only would have been a more interesting shot, I know I wished for a pen like this for this challenge. This image is so dark, and the eye doesn't focus on any one spot.

The lighting, and especially the tone, brings a lot to the picture. I don't think the shadow between the envelopes is helping though. 7 for the lovely mood...
