Out in the wife's garden around 10:45 am. Actually waited for the sun to rise to 11:00 am to backlight the worm. Took a number of great shots, however, this one needed the least adjustment. (I tested each shot against the auto adjust and sharpness in Photoshop but submitted it with "absolutely no post-processing" according to the rules.) Had to play with sutter speed and aperture to get a sharp focused image because either the worm was moving or the fennel was. Used a tripod and a shutter cord release. Played with a number of in camra adjustments like; AEB, Parameters, and mirror lock -up. Also tried a number of lenses.
Out of the box.

Nice capture! I would have liked the composition to put the caterpillar somewhere off-center, but the rich colors and sharpness are very good! Nice image - good luck!
