I guess I was WAY off base with that whole "top 5" thing! :) About .001 eh? Sheeesh! Great score and congratulations on yet another front page. Well done.
Oh way to GOOOO!!!!!! I was one of your 21 10's! It reinstills my faith in the voters to see that others recognized this as a winner. I wish it was one of the top 3 tho :)
Wow! Great photo. I love it! Nice choice of effect. I'm assuming this is an effect you can apply in the camera which is a real nice bonus in a striaght from the camera contest. Definately one of the highest I've rated so far - 8
Back to comment. Great shot with nice perspective. If it looks this lovely straight from the camera, I'd love to see how brilliant it would be if edited to perfection. One of my top 5 picks.
9 - Very good. Good use of the infrared(?). Whilst I'd prefer to see 'classic photography' (ie: no in-camera effects, etc) for this Challenge, it is a sign of the technology and I accept that. However there is a 'line' on what in-camera editing supersedes the skills of the photographer. Using this effect however doesn't apply in my opinion. A good eye and skill are required to produce an image like this. The dof is spot-on, the only aspect I'd like to see improved upon is the overall 'depth', as in 'dramatic feel', if that makes sense. Perhaps a little darker in areas, more definition, not sure. I'm guessing a 'novice DPCer' requested validation on this (and many others in this Challenge), which seems to be an issue that may need addressing someday. Took the liberty of adding to my Favorites. Like your title.
Don't you just love IR. Very nice image here. After the challenge contact me, I want to know if you get little white spots all over your IR shots or do I have a defective filter.
Wow! Right out of the camera and you get a shot like this! WAY TO GOOOO!!!! It looks like one of those beautiful infrared photos. Absolutely stunning! 10
