Everybody's heard of them! The source of those so undeserved one's! The one and only. The Troll!!! I found this fine example of the species under the river walk down in Old Town :-) Caught him in the act of the trolls favorite activity, giving out ones and twos on the first night of voting!
Hehe, actually that is Ron (Toocool) 'modeling' for me on this shot. He went above and beyond the call of duty for this one. On top of hauling all the gear down through all the rocks and crawling under the boardwalk, he donned that heavy shirt (it was a warm afternoon), and put on the make-up all over his face, arms and chest. Great job, and much thanks Dude!
Anyways, I hope I conveyed the idea convincingly. We shall see. It was a tough exposure. Lots of light out in the surrounding area and on the water, but dark and shady under the walk where we were. Used fill flash, with the compensation turned down to -1. I originally was thinking of going with a quad tone, but after playing with the shots, felt the color worked better. In ps-rotate, cropped, levels, curves, selective color, hue/sat, little more levels and curves, resized, usm, sfw.
Thanks for checking out my pic :-)

Hihihi, after watching the vote cast today... it feels like this could be true :o) Love the humor in this picture... it is sharp, some effort put in it... excellent - 8
Ha ha, what a great commentary to dp trolls. I won't be one on this one. I'll give you an 8 for creativity. Nice exposure under the bridge, nice color, nice detail.
Bump to 9
Great, creative take on the challenge. My only nit is the blown highlights in the water which makes me wonder if a different time of day would have been better. 10
This is very funny, and very "DPC-ish"! I admire your idea and efforts in this. His expression is priceless. You did a great job on what must have been a difficult lighting situation - deep shadow under the bridge and bright glare on the water.
LOL!!! :) I love it! Not only do I really like the angles in the shot from the bridge trusses and riverbank, but the placement of the "troll" is excellent as well. GREAT play on words! :D
