Highlights are my biggest gremlin, shooting digital is a real challenge when it comes to keeping the highlights in control. I use a 2xND filter to help however it is a real issue. It is not an issue here so much JerryMessage edited by author 2007-07-26 19:57:09.

beautiful shot - why is it so blue -- is that sky? looks like underwater almost. great shot. I don't think the BG out-of-focus is so much of an added interest as necessary for the portrait.

Oh, you are SOOOO close on this one! If the white wasn't blown out I'm sure this would be scoring near the top. I love the contrasting colors and the blue in the background is very nice. Best of luck to you in the challenge.
