Challenge: Desolation II (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Sony DSC-P200
Location: Reykjavik
Date: Jun 18, 2006
Aperture: F/5,6
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/1250
Galleries: Candid, Water
Date Uploaded: Jun 18, 2006

This guy was all alone in the outdoor tub at Nauthólsvík in Reykjavik. Desolation came to my mind without really knowing if he felt the lonliness I saw in the situation.

I really like this shot, I think it captures desolation perfectly. I am sorry that I didn't vote, cos I would have given it a 10

This guy doesn't really look like he's desolate. He looks more like he's happy to be alone, and is just relaxing.

did you use the draganizer on this? I'm sure this started as a very bright and vivid picture. I like how you processed it to look empty and barren to fit the challenge.

A very artsy and surreal photo. I wish it were a tad bit brighter, it's a little dark now.

Alone, solitary, thoughtful all come to mind. Desolation is way down the list.

This is great. I like the slight bit of grain it has. Superb contrast and the use of negative space around him - good.
