Beautiful capture. The lady is beauty. I guess this did not scored as much as it should have been as bright green color does not really compliment "desolation" feel. Still a beautiful photo.

Back to comment and bump. This is nicely done. I can buy that this is desolation - great eyes and skin - perfect lighting - my only complaint is that the towel is such a bright cheery green.

Amazing image. You really captured the character in her face. The caption sets the tone for the image, and really helps it meet the challenge. I am glad that I came back a second time to re-examine these...bumping this up 2 slots to a 9...

Great photo - I like the detail given to her weathered features. But I find the colours a little distracting. I think I would have preferred the image much more if the colours had been more muted.

The green really snatches the eye away from the face, which from you title is what you wanted us to look at. Nice try, maybe tone down the green
