With thanks and respect to all those who served their country in times of need.
My first attempt at a 30 second exposure. My camera requires I hold the button down for the required time. I have the original still for exif verification and will send it when requested.

Ouch. That hurts my eyes! The fire is SO bright. ;^) This subject is interesting, but to get a 30 second exposure on this you would need to use some heavy ND filters to keep from getting the blowout. Good luck in the challenge.
You unfortunately cut off what appears to be the main subject of your image. I feel your pain. I once had a camera myself that only took landscape shots. I just traded it in for one that only takes portrait ones. I'm much happier now.
This would look better if any part of it was in focus - preferably the objects in the centre. But the flame has flared out and become a bit featureless. The bright area in the background is very distracting too. Try this one again, but with proper focus, repositioned to avoid the background problems, and a smaller aperture to reduce the light coming in which will give a bit more detail to the flame as well as making the uninteresting background disappear to black.
The degree of difficulty here is high. In the end, it feels over exposed to me. And the flame is blown out. Perhaps a neutral density filter would have allowed you to cool the image and save some of the flame detail.
