ROFL - this is such a great title for the shot . .

Cracked up laughing at this one, I can see him saying that.

Hi~
Post actions
The title is perfect! I got such a kick out of this when I first saw it... TOO funny! ;)
Post actions
ROFLMAO!! Your title is GREAT!! Reminds me of the movie "A Bugs Life" hehe I don't think the candy being sharper would have behooved this photograph at all. The fly is the main subject and the candy the complimentary subject so I see it as spot on! You did great for not having a macro lens :)
Post actions
its really really nice macro shot !

This is very cool Karmat. Puts my fly image to shame. Congrats on the blue!

Post actions
Hey, how cool is that? Karma got her BLUE! And with a picture of a FLY, no less! :-)
Post actions
This is a unique shot. I like how the eyes of the fly match the candy stripes. I like the orangey color. I like the exposure, focus, and background. I like the positioning. I like the crop. I like how the fly's front legs communicate the title. And, I like how the challenge topic is comminucated.

d000d!!! I so totally called it!!

Here's a case where the title probably adds a bit more to a very fine photo. Would "Fly on Candy" have scored better? Who knows, but congratulations on the Blue Ribbon. ;-)

I like the shot. I'm thinking it could have been more powerful with a closer crop. Just an opinion. 8

now that WOULD be indulgence for a fly compared to what they normally eat. Love the colours, great pic.

something bizarre about this but not sure if its the title or the candy. Bizarre in a good way, yes. comp well done, DOF and POV excellent. Like your use of background space. well done.
Post actions
I really love the composition and well, the whole idea. The thing I can think of that might make it even more appealing is if the candy were a solid color, since the peppermint stripes sort of lead the eye away from the fly, rather than to him.
Post actions
Awesome shot. You're in my top picks. Good luck!

This is so quirky and odd but I rather like it. I especially like the matching orange in the sweet and the fly. In my top 20 this challenge.

Flies are always useful subjects. If in doubt, there is usually a fly around. The ones with the red eyes are especially good lookers.

Interesting background, I'm still not sure about it. For me, for now, it somehow shows how the fly senses the scent of the icecream. In this way, it's great!
