I think the fact that he's sitting down (rather than just passing through) makes this seem even more laden with symbolism than it might otherwise be. The diagonals dominate, of course, but the big rectangles on the wall also
seem critical to me ... they suggest video/TV screens and, with the diagonal bars across them, make the image about imperfect communication for me. Which of course means the title is particularly pleasing. 8.
the far back zoom that you have, really adds to this photo. It lets the shadows lead you to the guy. Great capture. I just bumped up your score after commenting.
Nice effect overall. I just find the guy a bit too centred for my liking. Cropping a bit off the right would work better for me. Others may disagree, however.

Color contrast is the killer in this photo.I love it so much, I think I would put this photo in first 5... There are other excellent works this time, it is very difficult to choose the ribbon winners :)
This is a very strong image. Tiny nit-pick: I would have liked to see the person sitting over in the right hand bottom corner where there is no shadow.
