Alright, so same idea for the picture I took of my oldest a couple of years ago for the "Mirrors" challenge. This time, I just used my youngest son who is pretty close to the age my oldest was in the first photo. My oldest son probably would've busted the mirror had he sat on it. :-)Didn't have access to the rectangular mirror so I used an oval one instead and processed it slightly differently. I changed the position of the child as in my other photo some folks said it looked like he was falling out of the picture.
I hope it does okay as I'm pretty proud of it and the improvements I think I've made.

Well, crap, it looks like you would have beaten me in this one too. ;) Look at you all ribboned up. You are riding the wave! Now keep it going as long as you can.
Wow, you ARE on a roll. Fantastic shot, love it to bits. I didn't vote in this challenge and was thrilled to see that you did so well again. Keeping my fingers crossed - hope there are more ribbons coming your way.
This is magnificent. I wish I had seen this when my girls were babies. Somehow I don't think copying this techniques with a 15 year old would be quite the same.
Well done!!
This is such an incredible forever photo. It will be priceless long long after the challenge is forgotten. Congratulations on the well-deserved ribbon!!
Awesome shot Jennifer! First time seeing it too as I didn“t vote in this challenge, congrats on a new top score, you are fast becoming a ribbon hog :) Love this, put it in my favorites!
great job jen, very awesome job! I think it was a very good thing that you didnt have access to your old rectangular mirror, I think the oval one really helped make the shot. Congratulations!
wow, congratulations! This image is so beautiful... (and the improvements you've made from the original are a landslide) hope you don't mind if I add it to my favorites, *wink* : )
You're on a roll with the ribbons Jennifer! This is thoroughly deserved and an amazing image...you are on FIRE! You should be proud of this...print it and put it on a wal...make it LARGE
I'm lovin this one! I like the subdued color/sepia. I like how you've captured the child looking into the mirror. Good composition, dof and exposure. Well done. 9
lovely--muted colors, perspective, lighting, sharp reflection, and a little cherub! i don't like the leaf blocking out the reflection of the tree, but everything else is wonderful.
jenesis , Wow OH WOW! Talk about improvement! Even before I looked up the original I had given this a 9 but after seeing the original and the improvement, it's a 10! Very nice!
Beautiful shot. Great tones, beautiful focus and just laid out well. I will searchout the original on this one. I would love to have a shot of my child like this. Well done and good luck.
Edit - This should be the blue in my opinion. I think its a marked improvement on the original and beyond that just an awesome shot. Frame this shot and keep it forever and ever. Not just bumping up but bumping up 2. You get my only 10.
Great job and a huge improvement over your original, good luck on your score, it was one of my three highest rated photos for this challenge eve before I realized whose it was, 9
This is absolutely stunning. I don't normally go for baby shots, but there's something about this one that is just too good to tear my eyes away from. The editing is superb - as is the composition. Technically, it's outstanding. I can't find anything wrong with it or that I would improve. 10
(I just did some research and took a look at the original. Jen, this is MAJOR improvement!)
Back to comment...This is beautiful. Perfect really..I wouldn't change a thing. Great light & coloring. Good balance of dark behind the baby and the darkness of the leaves. I'll be shocked if you don't ribbon. Bumped you to a 10.
lovely.. nice to see how deep in to his/hers(sorry:S) its looking. maybe i would have liked to see more green tones from the leaves.. but this works well to.. 8
