She loves him/her and I love the picture!!! The contrast you made (yellow with amazing blue), the sharpness of the yellow part of the flower, the petals in the background (not in focus which is awesome because to me it kind of shows that the only one that really matters is the one that is left on the flower). And of course the diagonal composition is great. Kudos! :)
I like the concept, but the execution is only "average" to me. Why? Firstly, I don't really like the black background - although I can see why you wanted it dark. 2nd, I like the concept of having blurry petals in the background, although I find the placement of the bright spots within the composition a bit too systematic. 3) The light seems to be the light of some clousy day - and although it fits the concept, I think I'd have prefered a more appealing light. 4) I don't think this odd farmat was the best to convey your message. Perhaps a square was more appropriate - possibly with a little more negative space around the flower...? 5) The slightly more complex and blurry part that's behind the flower at corner bottom right adds nothing to the rest of the picture, and therefore would better be left out of the frame - although it isn't really annoying. Overall, still a good concept and a fairly good photo: I was just looking for possible improvements. Best regards.
This is so amazing! I am always so impressed when photographers take the simple things in life and make them look SO extraordinary!!! WOW!!! And contratulations on such a well-deserved ribbon!!
Yes ma'am, I liked this one alot! Thats awesome Maya congratulations, on two amazing back to back shots, not only that, but two very different back to back shots. Show that versatility girl....I'll be watching for portraiture, and landscape next.:)
Congrats. Perfect for the challenge. .. the idea here definitely pushed it way ahead of the rest. I can tell you're a true photogrpaher ... you have a great variety in your portfolio. I'm sure we'll see many more ribbons from you :-]
This should of been the winner... I think I will count this as blue ribbon... It SCREAMS the song when I look at it... This had to be the blue ribbon :(
Already scored this a 10 and I am now coming back to comment. Simple, clean and beautifully presented. The single petal and the remaining portion of the daisy are in crystal sharp focus. In the background we can see the blurred picked petals. They fade into the background not just physically but also symbolically. Those flower petals do not hold the answer to the question "Does she love me". The one that tells us "She Loves You" is the last remaining one on the daisy that dominates the forefront. Simply brilliant.
Nice. Great idea and well executed. To me the vase or glass in the bottom corner could have been left out to improve the composition.. but that is just my thoughts... great photograph
Very nicely done! Fit's the challenge to a 'T'. Hope it does well. The only things I would comment on negatively are the round object bottom right is distracting and I wish there was more detail in the rejected petals...

One of my favourites. I love the composition with the OOF petals making up the background. Very clear, well lit, overall one of the top photos in the challenge.
Just when I think I'm sick of flower macros. LOL This is wonderful, particularly with the petals OOF in the background. Excellent composition and light and the focus is tack sharp. This is most certainly a crowd pleaser! Good one. Perfectly suited for the title. Not a stretch at all. 9
