It was around 11pm and fog had settled in the small village where we were spending the weekend. So we rushed out with the camera not even thinking of DPC.
The light source here is a garage light shiningthrough the portch of the house. I asked my girlfriend to stand on the grass and shot a few.
Post processing.... curves and slight saturation boost.

I love that mistery feeling!!! I just would cropped out that car at left, and darkened the light on the pants. If I hadn't lightened the whole picture in photoshop I would thought that the human silhouette was a kind of monk walking and looking down instead of towards the light source.
Nice mood set here by the lone figure standing waiting in the dark. Focus, exposure controls, and lighting are all well executed. As for composition - well done but I would recommend cropping closer on the left to get rid of the parked car. As for meeting the challenge - the shadows seem to indicate thdere was more than one light source. Minusing a point for that but stil a commendable score.
