Yummy, a mushroom! Unless it's poisonous.... Nice work. Not a lot of neg space, so your the challenge is met subtely here, but there is enough for my tastes. (Pun intended)
And secondly, I see that you had a too idea, but when you look, you cannot really see much in between. Perhaps angling the 'spokes' directly infront of the light source may have helped. =)
