this is just a very cool shot. very photojournalistic. reminds me of the old man and the sea. that guy in the center seems a little too dark maybe though. 9
Excelllent. (with 3 L\\\'s) Would have given an almost unheard of 4th L, but not sure about that blue rim or whatever coming from the top right. What can you do though? I am guessing this wasn\\\'t a staged set. Ok...four L's. Excellllent.
This is one of my favorite shots in this challenge. I think it will likely get overlooked. It is a very busy shot, which normally I find distracting, but here I like the contrasts. The ages and skin of the men, the boats and the water. I cant figure out what the curved line is at the top right, but it looks like the edge of the earth. The water bottle almost emptied, the man sleeping, the other shirt off. I think this is the kind of shot that would be in national geographic representing life in ? (the Mediterranean perhaps). As far as criticisms go-- the dark skinned man could have slightly more light while the big jug could have slightly less. None the less my choice for 1st place. You have a great shot and captured something that is very human and 'summer'. Excellent shot.
