"Still...someone's life" is a very different entry into the Still Life II challenge. I have to say you have a different idea towards the challenge, which I thought was great.
The image is a great political statement for our world today. I think you had a perfect idea. Good placement of the subject and include of the yellow can, which I assume is for payment. I know this was a basic challenge but I would try adjusting the exposure, the lighting seems a little to bright. The lighting is a little too distracting for my taste. Maybe even if the light was only a small part of the right hand side. I understand it probably wasn't one of those situations where you could move your subject of the sunlight. I think this would be a prefect shot for advanced editing making it all grungy and dark.
Overall excellent, creative idea. Keep up the good work!
I just saw this yesterday, I swear. Vancouver, right?
I think the lighting and colour are a bit weak, but nice pun in the caption. Very cool commentary.
A still life generally brings together a number of elements arranged into an eyecatching grouping. This may be someone's life, but you haven't arranged a still life, imo.
Not really what I think of when I think of a still life, in all honesty. This would probably fit better in a photojournalism or social commentary type of category.
