This is one of the many ceiling mosiacs that can be seen in the Quire, evidently commissioned after Queen Victoria attended a service in St Pauls and complained it was drab! Taken lying on my back, hand held - nerve racking for sure!
This is beautifully composed, Carl - excellent symmetry and the intricate design is presented well. This must have been a sight to behold in person! And this would have done quite well in the challenge, though I completely understand why you didn't enter. Thanks for sharing!
