a dark background would have really made this "stand out"

What a wonderful photo. Beautiful light and colour. This is my 'Blue Ribbon' winner.

Brilliant capture, wonderful light and use of DOF. Like the repeated shapes.

There is another image very similar to this that I like a little bit more. The background on this is a little bright and distracting for me. JMO.

Some of it got lost in the background blur. Good Balance.

Ah! Perfect title! That is the first thing that came to my mind when this image opened..." ...look at the little ballerina..." Beautiful clarity and color.

Nice photo but I think I would have pulled off all but the single sticking up.

Nice sharp focus, but the lightness in the background seems to diminish the impact imo.

nice macro!
I wonder if a greater DOF is better for this shot?
also, the white spots in the background are stealing the limelight.GOOD PHOTO! Message edited by author 2006-05-16 05:18:45.

I really like the arrangement of the seeds, the light spot above the seed distracts a little from the seeds. Overall a nice presentation

good title, and really nice macro. i know DOF is really hard to control on these shots with moving subjects etc, but it would have been good to get just a little more of the subject in sharpness.

Cool. Not as pretty as when they are full, but very funy how the one is holding on. Also great DOF. Good luck -7-

Just when I get to thinking the dandilion seed head couldn't be photographed originally anymore, you go and prove me wrong. Very stunning photograph with amazing details and great tones. Well done!

The strong white in the background is very distracting.

Very pretty shot. The white, puffy out of focus background compliments the subject matter very nicely.

Great macro! I was trying the same thing the other day, but yours is so much better! Great title, I just wish the middle of the dandelion was a bit sharper.
