 I tried to do something simliler to what Dudephill did when he got 2rd place in the texture challenge. I couldnt quite get as good a picture as he got though :( If i could stack some photos it would be amazing.
I'll have to do it again if i find a horse fly or something like that because this was just a ordinary house fly so maybe thats why his is better, I dont really know.

great macro. Not sure I love the duo-tone selection, perhaps a bit too green.

Interesting. I too had considered using a high contrast treatment for my fly pic to see if it improved. You did a nicer job of this than I. Your DOF is better managed too IMHO.

I like how crisp the eyes are from cell to cell.

Edit: negative changed to High Contrast... Voting too late got my words all mixed up.
