Thanks for all the comments on this. I appreciate all the opinions. I actually tried putting the scull in a more natural position and I hated it. I just couldn’t get it to look right against the grass.

This is a good representation of the topic, but I wonder if it would have been better if the skull hadn't been sitting exactly upright like it was placed there.
Oooh - this is good. Strong composition, excellent focal points, both a primary one and a second one, and great diagonal. Nice choice of sepia tone too.

Nice shot, but looks staged because of the angle of the skull and dug-up ground around it. Would have been better just to drop the skull randomly for the shot.
