Wow, this is the best of the wasp shots. Too bad the flower's pestal is in the way. Most of this week's shots had serious macro/depth of field problems. In your case, the wasp is more on a single plane, leaving it all in focus. I think I would have liked having more of the flower in focus, but in this case, the lack of depth isn't so bad for the subject. 8 Swash
did you crop this out of a much larger photo? i suspect you did because of the pixelation. that's unfortunate, because otherwise this would be a totally awesome shot. the other flower in the bottom left is distracting, too, outside of this competition you'd be able to clone that out of course. -- gr8photos (3)
I simply love this picture. The detail is wonderful, and I like the simplicity of the the colors between the blue and green. This would make an awesome poster. karmat
interesting macro :) I know it was probably impossible to do, but a different angle would be nice on this one.. the green in the bottom left of the frame doesn't seem appealing... = 6 - jmsetzler
There is some pixelization on the insects leg, but I'm guessing that is from a rather extreme crop? Otherwise, nice shot! The plant in the lower left is a bit distracting but otherwise I like it.
