What a fine photo! Haven't voted in this challenge, but I would have easily given this a 7 in the first pass at least. As someone already indicated, the gray road (that has no complementary gray shade readily visible) is taking away from the mainstream flower/water droplet/color setup photo and hence the low scores. The car in the photo is small enough not to offer any details for the observer to enjoy, yet large enough to spoil the photo by taking away the attention from the nice leading lines.
Exposure and focus are dead on, I wish you waited (how long is the question) for all the cars to leave the frame. Deserted road would have inched you up some score-wise I think.
Keep up the good work. Stay out of the box and the voters will come one day...
Good focus and DOF, but it doesn't really hold my interest. Also, while there are complementary colors they are not as obvious as I think they should be for this challenge.
if youre making the link between reddish leaves on your left and green on your right you ought to have highteneed the brightness or constrast or worked the saturation a bit because the main focus here is the yellow of the road and the car and the yellow is not complimentary to anything in this photo because nothing in this photo is purple. perhaps if there was a purple car?
I give you a 10 for such an original photo that meets the challenge exceptionally well. Unfortuantely, I take 1 point off due to the netural road having such a presence in the photo. I know... You couldn't help it really, but a 9 is pretty darn good from me.
5 - Nice shot. Couple of schemes in here in my opinion (if not all), which still 'works', just 'somehow' like to have seen the colors/color scheme(s) more dominating. Having said that, without the 'complementary colors' this shot wouldn't be as good in my opinion. Nudge rotate up on the right possibly too, not sure.
